This is the first SNAC sent by the client when authorizing via BUCP and is, obviously, used for requesting a challenge. The server should reply with [[Protocols/OSCAR/SNAC/BUCP__LOGIN_RESPONSE|BUCP__LOGIN_RESPONSE]] containing the aforementioned challenge, which will be [[Protocols/OSCAR/SNAC/BUCP__LOGIN_REQUEST|used for hashing the password later on]].
This is the first SNAC sent, by BUCP clients, right after the FLAP versions are exchanged. It is, obviously, used for requesting a challenge, of which the server replies with [[Protocols/OSCAR/SNAC/BUCP__CHALLENGE_RESPONSE|BUCP__CHALLENGE_RESPONSE]], with the challenge they requested.
